University Apartments for Single Undergraduate Students
UCLA owns and operates nine off-campus apartment complexes. This housing is reserved for single, undergraduate upper-division students, including first year transfer students. The University Apartments complexes are located west and southwest of UCLA and all buildings are within walking distance of campus and Westwood Village.
Apartments range from studios to three-bedrooms, with bedrooms usually shared by two or three students. Units are furnished with appliances and furniture including an extra long twin bed for each occupant. Utilities (gas, electric, and water), basic cable TV and high-speed Internet are also included in the housing contract at no extra charge. Residents may arrange for telephone service with a local provider. Each building has coin-operated washers and dryers. No pets or any other animals are allowed. "Service Animals" are accommodated.
Apartment Resident Assistants (ARA)
Apartment Resident Assistants (ARA) are full-time students who work part-time for Residential Life. ARAs are responsible for the administration and implementation of the community development and student support program in University Apartments. ARA’s foster and develop community among residents, counsel residents regarding problems or concerns and provide resource and referral information, and implement programs to meet departmental goals. In addition, ARA’s enforce Housing and University regulations, and document any resident concerns and provide duty coverage for off campus housing community from 8:00pm to 7:00am daily. ARA’s are committed to maintaining the safety and general well-being of residents. They can often find the best way to help you get something done or explain policies and procedures. There is an ARA designated to your area to respond to both emergency and non-emergency calls. For University Apartments North, call the University Apartments North Front Desk at (310) 983-1300 or leave a note in your ARA's box or board. If you experience a life threatening emergency, please call University of California Police Department (UCPD) at (310) 825-1491 immediately.

On-Campus Dining for Off-Campus Residents
UCLA Housing normally offers several meal plans for students who live off campus, with all providing the convenience of eating in any of the on-campus residential restaurants, but due to COVID restrictions, these plans will not be available the 2020-21 academic year.
Parking is very limited and mostly tandem spaces in the apartment complexes. Not all complexes include parking. Students should indicate their request for parking via the housing application. Please review parking details here.
