BruinBill for Housing Accounts

Making a Housing Payment - A tenant must have an activated UCLA Logon and password to access MyUCLA and his/her BruinBill account.  After signing in, select Make a Payment on the blue header bar.  The current unpaid housing charges will appear on this screen.  Click the Make Payment button on the bottom of the page and follow the instructions from there.

Third-Party Payments - Parents/Guardians or other designated parties may now make a payment for the student's housing if granted third-party access by the student.  Third-party access is granted via the BruinBill website only.  Students who submit parent/guardian emails on the housing application are only authorizing that housing related informational emails to be sent out.  Housing Services does not administer the access to BruinBill accounts.

Credit Card vs. eCheck - BruinBill charges a 2.75% non-refundable convenience fee for all credit card payments.  To avoid the fee payments may be made by eCheck, an electronic check option using a checking or savings account number.

Auto Payment Feature - BruinBill offers a Auto Payment for Housing option to set up monthly automatic payments for tenants paying by eCheck or credit card.  If choosing this option, please select a payment transaction date prior to the 10th of each month.  Remember that Housing Services assesses a late fee to any account with an outstanding balance after the 10th of each month unless a valid payment agreement has been established.

Cash Payments - With the implementation of BruinBill, in-person cash payments for any University fees, Housing charges, or Transportation charges may be made at either the Housing Cashiers, the Transportation Cashiers, or the Main Cashiers Offices.

Housing Offers - all Housing payments, including the initial payment to accept a housing contract, are now made to the tenant's BruinBill account.  Once a student has viewed and accepted the housing offer on line, the charge for the housing initial payment will be posted to the student's BruinBill account.  If the initial payment to accept the housing contract is not made by the due date stated in the offer, the housing offer will be canceled.
