Spring & Summer 2021

Spring Quarter 

Per the announcement from EVCP Carter, spring quarter instruction will remain mostly remote. Housing capacity and availability for on-campus and the off-campus apartments will remain the same for spring quarter as well. 

If your housing situation has changed, and you are now in need of University housing, please review the criteria at the bottom of the page and submit an email describing your situation to uclahousing@housing.ucla.edu. Your appeal will be reviewed by our Housing Appeal Board, and if eligible, we will extend you an offer. Submission of an appeal does not guarantee a space.

Summer Sessions 2021

Per the announcement from EVC Carter, summer sessions A-D will be remote this year. Housing eligibility for summer session will remain restricted. Current students with 2020-21 academic year contracts will be eligible to apply for a summer session contract to remain in their current space. If your housing situation has changed, and you are now in need of summer housing, please review the criteria below and submit an email describing your situation to uclahousing@housing.ucla.edu. Your appeal will be reviewed by our Housing Appeal Board, and if eligible, we will extend you an offer. Submission of an appeal does not guarantee a space.

The summer application will open by mid-May and we will email all current residents with the process.

Housing Eligibility 

To be eligible for a University owned housing space for spring quarter or summer sessions, students must demonstrate they have no other alternative housing option and fall into one of the following designations:

  • Students whose current housing environment is not a safe or appropriate environment, or does not provide adequate ADA accommodations
  • Foster/former foster youth and homeless students, or students who do not have access to safe and reliable housing
  • Students who identify campus housing as the only appropriate environment to overcome extenuating circumstances
  • Student-athletes involved in on-campus training permitted by LACDPH

Students with current housing contracts who wish to cancel their contract, may do so by submitting an email to uclahousing@housing.ucla.edu. Cancellations are automatically approved and subject to a $400 cancellation fee. 

Graduate and Family housing offers will continue to be made on a rolling basis.
