Non-Traditional Students

Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces bring to campus different life experiences, unique leadership qualities and initiatives as students. Housing Services is here to help with navigating the different housing options available. All incoming students, whether freshmen or transfers, are guaranteed housing in either on- or off-campus accommodations, if all applications and payments are made by the stated deadlines. For students with families, University Village is designed to offer community living for married students, same-sex domestic partners and single parents. Students interested in privately-owned apartments and housing may use the Community Housing Office resources in their housing search. Please select a category in the Related Information box to see what we have to offer.

Foster Youths

Students who are former or current Foster Youths face a different set of challenges when making the decision to pursue their higher education goals. As for all incoming freshmen and transfer students, housing is guaranteed for foster youths who apply and accept their housing contract by the stated deadlines. Year-round housing is available and programs designed to support the special needs of foster youths are addressed by both the Office of Residential Life and Housing. Support and resources are also provided through the Guardian Scholars Program, which is in the Bruin Resource Center on campus. To investigate the different housing options available, please select a category in the Related Information box.
